How to Find Us

You’ll find us at 350 Hepburn Newstead Rd, Shepherd's Flat. Look out for signs for “Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm” as you approach via Hepburn.

Drive carefully — the local wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, foxes and ducks) have a habit of crossing the road unannounced.

As you enter, you’ll cross a small one-way ford over Larni Barramal Yaluk creek into the carpark. Please drive slowly and give way to others arriving or leaving.

Gate Fee

A small Gate Fee applies to all visitors, including those with bookings at Maria’s Trattoria or for events:

Adults $5
Children (5–18 years old) $1
Season pass $10
Children Under 5 FREE

Your contribution goes directly towards feeding our animals and preserving our historic gardens and buildings.

Note: Ticketed events and private functions may incur a higher Gate Fee.

Parking & Accessibility

Our on-site parking is free, but we ask that you park considerately, leaving space for others throughout the day. If needed, our friendly team may guide you to reposition your vehicle.

The farm is wheelchair and pram accessible, with ramp access and wide paths. If you have accessibility concerns, please get in touch before your visit and we’ll do our best to assist.

Pets & What to Wear

Lavandula is a pet-friendly farm. Dogs are welcome on-lead, though we ask you to keep them out of indoor dining areas and never leave them tied up unattended.

What To Wear

Please dress for a working farm environment.

  • Closed-toe, sensible shoes are essential
  • Sun protection is strongly advised
  • In warmer months, snakes may be present, please stick to paths and wear long pants where possible

You won’t be turned away for your outfit, but our gate team may kindly caution you if you’re unprepared.

Facilities

We have all gendered bathrooms on site and welcome all visitors wholeheartedly.

A baby change is located in the bathrooms closest to the Homestead for your convenience.
