About Lavandula Farm

Nestled among the rolling hills of Shepherd’s Flat is Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm

Seasonal closure

Reopening 26th December

From ancient stone to fragrant fields, meet the farm that’s charmed generations

Shaped by 1850s European settlers, the land has been nurtured for over a century by growers, makers and dreamers. Today, the stone buildings still stand, the lavender still blooms, and the spirit of slow living continues.

We honour the land’s heritage and those who walked it before us, including the Dja Dja Wurrung people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Lavandula stands. Every meal, every bloom, every bottle of oil pays quiet tribute to the craft, resilience and community that built this place. And we invite you to walk it too, to explore the gardens, soak in the stillness, and savour the layers of history and hospitality that make Lavandula feel like its own world.

What makes Lavandula so special?

The lavender fields and stone buildings are just the beginning.

Take a step back in time to the 1850s, when Swiss-Italians first settled this patch of Victorian countryside and transformed it into a thriving working farm. The original homestead still stands, and many of our gardens, tools and traditions echo that same care and craftsmanship.
