Our lawns were made for long lunches and lazy afternoons.

Nothing fancy about it, just a good old-fashioned picnic under the trees.

You’re welcome to bring your own picnic, set up under a shady tree, and enjoy the farm at your own pace. Kids can explore, adults can relax, and there’s no need to rush a thing.

There are no BBQs or rubbish bins on-site, so please pack in and pack out to help us care for the land. Tables are limited, but the lawn is big and full of perfect picnic spots.

Prefer not to pack ahead? We offer picnic baskets and grazing options through the café and deli, all made with local ingredients and plenty of love. Whether you come with sandwiches from home or a feast from the farm shop, the setting makes it memorable.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, BYO picnics are welcome! We have shaded areas, lawn spaces, and picnic tables throughout the property for you to enjoy.

Can I bring a bottle of wine or alcohol?

We’re a licensed venue, so BYO alcohol is not permitted — but we do offer local wine, spritzes, and more at Tinetti’s Dairy Barn & Wine Shoppe and Maria’s Trattoria.

Do we need to book a picnic spot?

No bookings needed for BYO picnics, just pay your entry fee and find a cosy spot to settle in. Larger groups may wish to call ahead.

Are there any picnic supplies available to hire?

While we don’t offer picnic hire, you can order one of our pre-packed picnic baskets from the Farm Kitchen, or bring your own setup.

Are there areas with shelter or shade?

Yes — the olive groves, chestnut trees, and various nooks around the farm offer shade. We recommend bringing a picnic rug or sun hat in summer.

Lavandula is a working farm, historic property, and family-friendly destination tucked in the hills of Daylesford.

For over 30 years, we’ve been sharing the beauty of our gardens, food, lavender paddocks, and old stone buildings with locals and visitors alike.

We acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Lavandula stands. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the ongoing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, and community.
