How to Spend a Day at Lavandula

How to Spend a Day at Lavandula

A simple guide to making the most of your visit

With pristine gardens, cute-as-pie farm animals, seasonal fare, two boutiques brimming with handmade and artisan goods and plenty to explore, there’s more to Lavandula than meets the eye. Here’s our suggested way to spend a day on the farm to make the experience last a lifetime.

9.30am: But first, coffee

Begin your day at the Post Office Deli & Larder

Pick up a coffee, tea, matcha or hot chocolate alongside a delicious farm-baked treat for the morning before setting off to explore. Have a browse while

e you’re there; the Post Office is stocked with curated pantry goods, local produce, preserves, cookies and takeaway treats. This is also where you will find our famous lavender scones.

10.00am: Explore the farm

Take your time wandering through the gardens and farm

Follow the paths through the lavender fields and European-inspired gardens, discover the historic stone farm buildings and take in the views across the property.

And don’t forget to say hello to our farm animals. The Highland cows are always worth a visit!

11.30am: Time for a little shopping

Pop into the Homestead Store

Browse Lavandula's range of farm-made lavender products, gifts, handpicked homewares, culinary goods and locally made produce. Housed within the 160-year-old original homestead of the Tinetti family, you will enjoy a shopping experience that will transport you back to a bygone era.

12.30pm: Mangia, mangia!

Choose your lunch adventure:

Maria's Trattoria
Settle in for a leisurely lunch at Maria’s where we highlight seasonal ingredients grown at the farm or by nearby growers and enjoy the atmosphere of our historic farm setting.

The Woodfire
For something more casual that’s ideal for larger groups and families with children, grab an authentic woodfired pizza (using our 30-year-old dough recipe) and find a spot to relax alfresco.

2.00pm: Wander, explore and linger

After lunch, take another stroll around the property. Explore the gardens, and, if you’ve brought the kids, revel in the hidden magical moments dotted around the property – the hidden fairy doors, Farm Bingo, and all the gorgeous farm animals. Revisit your favourite spots, browse the historic buildings or simply find somewhere peaceful to sit and enjoy the landscape.

3.00pm: One last treat

Make your way back towards the Post Office where decadence awaits

To satisfy those afternoon sugar cravings, head back to the Post Office Deli & Larder and delight in an afternoon coffee or a takeaway treat for the drive home. Or stop for a final drink and make the most of your afternoon on the farm.

3.30pm: Don't leave empty-handed

Finish your visit with a final stop at the Farm Shop.

Now's the time to grab all those things you spotted earlier — lavender goodies, pantry staples, gifts and something delicious to take home. There is not too much time left for the day so that is great.

Your Lavandula day, your way.

Coffee. Gardens. Animals. Shopping. Lunch. Wine. A little exploring. A lot of good food.

You can follow our suggested itinerary or simply wander and see where the day takes you.
