The Farm

Located ten minutes north of Daylesford, Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm sits in the picturesque farmlands of Shepherds Flat.  There's one hundred acres to roam and explore the European styled gardens, Historic stone buildings, History Tours of the original homestead, Farm animals, rows of Lavender and so much more.

A small fee of $5 per adult & $1 per school-aged child gives you access to the entire farm which in turn allows us to keep the gardens looking beautiful and accessible for all throughout the four seasons.

Lavandula Farm can be used for Professional photography. It is preferable that this is booked in advance, by giving us a call or email to organise. Please note there is an hourly charge for photoshoots.

La Trattoria Bar & Eatery is situated in the heart of the farm, there for those who are exploring the farm and have worked up an appetite for some Mediterranean and lavender inspired dishes. Lavender scones with whipped cream and our own Lavender and strawberry jam, there is something for everyone including Gluten free and Vegan options.

History Tours run at 12, 2 & 4pm. Discover the Swiss Italian background of the Lavandula Farm and how it came to be known for its lavender.

Over one hundred handcrafted aromatherapy products are on display in 'the barn', where you can learn about their uses and suitability to skin types etc. The products are created on the farm itself, you may even be able to catch a glimpse of them being made through the Still Room window. A smell of lavender lingers through the courtyard in summer as we hang our lavender bunches to dry under the old veranda's and distill fresh cut lavender into our very own Lavender Essential Oil.
